After two weeks since the bird strike at Chase’s water treatment plant, the water advisory has been lifted.
The Village of Chase announced that residents can now resume their normal water usage.
On Wednesday morning, Aug. 13, a bird strike caused the communication at Chase’s water treatment plant to be disabled and therefore shut down their ability to pump water.
The Village of Chase was prompting residents to reduce their water consumption immediately.
They were also asking the public to conserve as much water wherever possible. An alert was sent out as a precautionary measure to ensure the continued availability of safe drinking water and to manage potential strain on the water supply system.
