The Village of Chase is prompting residents to reduce their water consumption immediately.
On Wednesday morning, Aug. 13, a bird strike caused the communication at Chase’s water treatment plant to be disabled and therefore shut down their ability to pump water.
They are also asking the public to conserve as much water wherever possible. An alert was sent out as a precautionary measure to ensure the continued availability of safe drinking water and to manage potential strain on the water supply system.
They hope to retore the water supply as soon as possible.
