Mindful water usage recommended Chase, B.C.

Interior Health has directed the Village of Chase to remain mindful about how much water people use.

Chase is currently drawing water form their back-up well, though water quality is meeting drinking standards.

On Wednesday, Aug .13, a bird strike at Chase’s water treatment plant caused a power outage. Their ability to pump water was shut down. The Village soon announced that their water system was fully restored, and users can return to regular water consumption.

Now, Interior Health has jumped in and is advising water users to be careful.

They will notify the pubic when normal water usage can resume.
