The City of Salmon Arm is reminding dog owners to leash-up their furry friends while enjoying Canoe Beach unless in the designated dog beach area.
The City has seen a rise in reports of dogs being off-leash in the main parts of the beach.
Dogs are permitted off leash at the East end of the beach park, where there is a fence partially separating it from the rest of the beach.
Other guidelines dog owners must follow are picking up after their pets and properly disposing waste in garbage bins, as well as being considerate of others visiting the area.
