New fire in Shuswap now ‘held’

The BC Wildfire Service has updated the fire burning near Aline Hill as now ‘held’.

The blaze was discovered on Aug. 25, and was measured at .009 hectares.

The suspected cause was lighting.

They labelled the recent fire burning in the Shuswap Area as ‘out of control’, but updated the progression on Aug. 26 at 1:17 p.m. as ‘held’.

There are no current area restrictions.
