Downtown Salmon Arm repping more pink to honour Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is the official month for Breast Cancer Awareness, and much of Downtown Salmon Arm is joining the campaign.

In addition to the Ross Street Fountain dressed with pink ribbons and flowers, other areas along the downtown streets are looking pretty in pink.

If you take a walk around the city, you’ll notice larger pink ribbon shaped decorations hanging in the trees and in front of local stores. There is also a banner underneath the infamous Treble Clef.

The public had the opportunity this week to buy pink ribbons and hang them at the Salmon Arm Wharf.
