ROOTS and BLUES artist application now open

Looking to perform at the Salmon Arm ROOTS and BLUES Festival? Organizers of the event have announced they are accepting applications for musicians and artists wanting to show their talent at the 34th annual festival in 2026.

“I think it speaks to our love for the music that we have artists going out of their way to express gratitude about their experience,” Kevin Tobin, festival artistic director. “We do aim to host a festival that’s world-class yet small-town in how warmly you’re welcomed.”

The festival is scheduled for July 23 – 26, 2026. Tobin encourages local musicians, or national and international musicians, to apply. Artists will have the chance to expose their talent to over 30,000 people.

“If you’re a musician with a powerful live presence, and your work is resonating with audiences, that’s who we want to hear from,” Tobin said.

Deadlines for B.C.-based artists to apply is Feb. 8, 2026. For national and international artists to apply, the deadline is Feb. 28, 2026.
