Warm weather results in early utility work in Salmon Arm

The City of Salmon Arm has decided to get a head start on its 2026 utility improvements due to the warmer weather, which means earlier road closures.

Work will start with the Waterman Upgrade on Lakeshore Dr., replacing ageing infrastructure. The City said the construction timeline would start early March through June.

A road closure will take place on Lakeshore Dr. W between 3 Street NW and the commercial access points near the Trans-Canada Highway. Pedestrian access will be maintained along the north side of the road.

“A detailed road closure notice and construction timeline will be shared with the community closer to the start of construction,” the City said in their announcement.
