Alberta man arrested after found in Salmon Arm beyond curfew

An Alberta man was arrested in Salmon Arm for allegedly breaching a court-ordered curfew.

Salmon Arm RCMP said officers observed a red Chevrolet Silverado with an Alberta licence plate on Okanagan Avenue.

Police said database checks showed the registered owner was subject to a curfew condition requiring him to be at his home in Alberta at that time.

Officers conducted a traffic stop and confirmed the driver was the registered owner. Police said he admitted to coming to the area to visit a friend but had no lawful reason to be outside his curfew.

The man was arrested for failing to comply with an order and was transported to cells, where he was held for a bail hearing.
