Woman arrested after stolen vehicle found

A report of a woman slouched in the driver’s seat of a vehicle led to the recovery of a stolen truck and an arrest.

Police said someone reported a woman slumped over in the driver’s seat of an older Ford F-150. The vehicle was registered to an owner in Kelowna, B.C.

Police located the vehicle and a 47-year-old woman, who denied driving the truck.

Police said nearby surveillance footage showed the woman driving the F-150.

The woman was arrested for possession of property obtained by crime. She was released at the scene with a future court date and was also issued a violation ticket for driving without a licence.
