A 35-year-old man could face charges after a stolen cube van was found crashed in Salmon Arm.
Police said the owner reported a white van stolen from Shuswap Street at about 8:30 a.m. on May 17. Earlier that morning, at approximately 6:30 a.m., officers responded to a crash on 60th Street NW, where a cube van struck a parked vehicle and rolled onto its side.
RCMP said surveillance video helped investigators identify a known suspect who was allegedly behind the wheel.
Police said the file has been forwarded to the BC Prosecution Service for charge assessment. At the time, the suspect was already in custody on unrelated matters.
