Two Vernon men killed in Enderby crash

Two Vernon men were killed in a single-vehicle crash in Enderby early Monday.

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to the crash in the 1100 block of George Street on Sept. 21.

Police said an RCMP collision analyst determined a blue Volvo was travelling north on George Street when it left the road, struck a hydro pole and collided with four parked vehicles at three properties.

The 31-year-old driver and 20-year-old passenger, both from Vernon, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third occupant was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

The road was closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene.

Police believe speed was a factor in the crash. The investigation is continuing.
