Relationship ends, but property pays the price; Woman arrested following vandalism

A 22-year-old woman was arrested after police said she was captured on video damaging her ex-boyfriend’s property in Salmon Arm.

Salmon Arm RCMP said officers responded to a report of an “intoxicated ex-girlfriend” damaging property.

A man told police he had been locked out of his home while his ex-girlfriend threw chairs from a second-storey deck and smashed items inside the house.

When officers arrived, the man showed them video that police said depicted the woman slashing his truck’s tires with a kitchen knife and smashing its windshield.

Officers arrested the woman and took her to police cells.

Police said she was released once sober with conditions.
