There are now five Salmon Arm-Shuswap candidates in the provincial snap election.
Gloria Morgan is the newly named NDP candidate. Barbara Presch with OneBC, Denise Remier with CentreBC, Jed Wiebe with BC Green Party and David L. Williams for the Conservative Party.
OneBC was formed on June 9, 2025, a new party formed by MLAs Dallas Brodie and Tara Armstrong after they left the Conservatives.
Morgan was the former chief of Splatsin in 2025 and ran in the Similkameen-South Okanagan-West Kootenay riding for the federal party. Both Williams and Weibe ran last year in the provincial election and hope to be elected this year too.
The snap election’s voting takes place on Saturday Oct. 24. Those who wish to partake in the advance voting can do so from Oct. 16 to Oct. 21.
