A part of the Rail Trail along Mara Lake from Folland Road and Rosemond Lake Bridge will be temporarily closed starting Aug. 18 until Aug. 22.
Between 7 a.m. and 10 p.m., there will be culvert installation and drainage improvements.
Residents and visitors can expect more noise from increased truck and equipment activity, no trail access, and traffic signs.
Despite the closure, the short section of the trail near Sicamous from KM 0.5 and KM 2.8 will be open for walking and biking. The Sicamous Ferry will remain open to provide access to open sections of the trail.
The public is asked to respect the construction boundaries and to obey all signage.
