Vernon breaks 109 year old temperature record

Vernon has broken its daily temperature record for Aug. 26, as the city soared to 37.2 degrees on Tuesday.

The previous record was 32.8 degrees in 1916, according to the Government of Canada.

29 other areas in province also broke or tied their daily temperature record for Aug. 26, 2025 including Kelowna, Kamloops, Summerland, Princeton and Pemberton.
