The City of Salmon Arm is reminding dog owners to leash-up their furry friends while enjoying Canoe Beach unless in the designated dog beach area.

In preparation for the Salmon Arm Fall Fair, the City has announced a temporary road closure

The City of Salmon is asking for public feedback on proposed changes to there animal control rules dated back to 1995.

People over the age of 16 will have access to the use of electronic scooters starting Sept. 30. 

The City of Salmon Arm is considering taking part in the BC Electric Kick Scooter Pilot Program, legalizing e-scooter use for people ages 16 and over.

The City of Salmon Arm will be enforcing paid parking near City Hall and the Cenotaph area, starting August 15.

Salmon Arm city council has unanimously approved the placement of a plaque on a bench at Raven Park in memory of Oliver "Olly" Willmot, the 18-year-old boy who died in February, 2025, after falling through the ice on Shuswap Lake.

On Thursday, July 24, expect parts of Hudson St. to be closed from 2 p.m. – 11 p.m. (Shuswap St. – McLeod) and 4 p.m. – 11 p.m. (McLeod St - Alexander) for the free kickoff concert.
