Mornings with Patrick Ryley

Saint Albert, Alberta, once a small bedroom community of Edmonton, was an ideal place to begin life in the 1970s and 80s. With a population under 20,000 at the time, it evokes a nostalgic charm similar to the Shuswap today. Patrick’s journey began here and took him on a vibrant path through music, entertainment, and community engagement.

From 1998 to 2001, Patrick managed award-winning nightclubs in Edmonton’s inner core, immersing himself in cutting-edge music and electric atmospheres where stars came to play. Beyond the nightclub scene, his love for music led him to play drums with blues bands, open for The Platters as a singer, and eventually star as Hank Williams Sr. in over 100 theatre performances with The Louisiana Hayride Show. With a deep passion for Country and Roots & Blues, Patrick’s musical talents extend to playing drums, guitar, keyboard, and singing.

Today, Patrick remains a dynamic performer as a DJ, an emcee, and radio host. His career spans film and television appearances and years of broadcasting, where his dry wit and relentless curiosity for truth often spark thought-provoking dialogue. Patrick’s 25+ years in radio have cultivated a deep connection with his audience, fostering trust and camaraderie. Through his work, Patrick strives to break barriers, connect with others on a meaningful level, and remind us that even on cloudy days, the sun is never far behind.

Patrick is also deeply rooted in the community. Whether supporting families in need or rallying support for the community, he’s often the first person people turn to. This earned trust reflects his respect, empathy, and dedication to making a positive impact.

Catch the Patrick Ryley Morning Show weekdays from 6 to 10 AM on 91.5 SUMMIT Radio.
