Sicamous Eagles player receives KIJHL Rookie of the Week

The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) has announced Chase Campbell of the Sicamous Eagles as its Rookie of the Week.
Campbell scored a hat-trick and four points for his team that led them to victory against the Kelowna Chiefs, winning 9-7.
“Hopefully, we can keep scoring and pull out a few wins here soon,” he said. “Kelowna is a good competitor; however, I thought our team was producing good offensively and I was moving quickly and my legs were feeling light.”
The Alberta native said that his linemates Braedan Jack and Emmytt Yurkowski contributed to his good offensive production.
“We all started clicking together recently, and if it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t have won this award,” says Campbell, who, with Jack and Yurkowski combined to put up 10 points (four goals, six assists).
Campbell followed up that performance, scoring two goals in their game on Wednesday against the Osoyoos Coyotes, winning 7-5.
