A small woodland fire in the Shuswap was under control after a quick response from firefighters Tuesday, Aug. 11.
Crews from the Shuswap, Eagle Bay and White Lake fire departments responded to a fire on Eagle Bay Road.
The Shuswap Emergency Program said the fire was about 500 feet up the mountain.
“Fire departments and neighbours responded quickly and have the fire under control,” the Shuswap Emergency Program stated on its social media.
The BC Wildfire Service dispatched a helicopter to the fire but bucketing operations were not required.
