All CSRD ice rinks closed indefinitely

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) announced this week that moving forward, all CSRD-owned ice ricks are closed indefinitely.

The district made an announcement on Tuesday, Feb. 3 saying the weather is not cold enough to maintain the outdoor rinks.

“Although there’s plenty of winter left, the weather is just too warm to keep the outdoor ice rinks in shape,” the CSRD stated in its post.

Although the rinks are closed until further notice, they did not confirm a permanent closure for the year. They recommend keeping an eye out for any updates welcoming back skaters.
