Jumping a curb results in impounded vehicle in Sicamous

A 22-year-old man was issued a 90 day driving prohibition after he was found jumping a curb in his pick-up truck, trying to get into a pub parking lot in Sicamous.

On Feb. 13, police pulled over the pickup truck after they observed the man driving over a curb. They were monitoring traffic on Main St. in Sicamous.

“The officer noted several indicators that the driver was operating the truck while impaired,” RCMP Sgt. Murray McNeil said.

He added the driver provided two breath samples which both resulted in fails.

The 22-year-old driver is not allowed to operate a vehicle for 90 days and the pickup truck was impounded for one week.
