Boil Water Notice for Cedar Heights water users

A boil water notice is in effect for the Cedar Heights Water System.

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District said the notice affects all users, not only those with weakened immune systems.

The Sorrento Water System has been placed under a water quality advisory. The advisory affects people with weakened immune systems and those who want to take extra precautions.

The CSRD is instructing residents to boil water before drinking, preparing food, brushing their teeth or washing dishes. Residents may also choose to use another safe water source, such as bottled water.

Officials said the advisory will end once testing confirms the tap water is safe to consume.
