The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) said the Evacuation Alerts issued in Electoral Area D in response to the Bradley Creek Wildfire (K41351) are unchanged.
In its latest update at 3 p.m. on Aug. 3, the CSRD said they have sent multiple fire and structure protection crews and equipment to assist with the numerous fires around the province.
“The CSRD is always aware that we also need to keep local resources in our areas to ensure appropriate levels of fire protection for our residents,” officials wrote in an update.
“The excellent response to the Vella Road Fire last night shows that our local firefighters are ready and able to answer local calls for assistance.”
Officials added that the best thing residents can do is to stay prepared in case of an evacuation.
