Community Shred-a-Thon takes place this weekend

Salmon Arm residents can safely dispose of sensitive documents this weekend during a community Shred-a-Thon at the Mall at Piccadilly.

North Okanagan/Shuswap Crime Stoppers will host the event Saturday, Sept. 19, inviting residents to bring personal, financial and other paper documents for shredding.

CDs will not be accepted.

The Shred-a-Thon will be held in the mall parking lot off 10th Avenue at 1151 10th Ave. SW in Salmon Arm.

The event runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The cost is $8 per bag or box.
