Artists wanted for ROOTSandBLUES

Looking to perform at the Salmon Arm ROOTS and BLUES Festival? Organizers of the event have announced they are accepting applications for musicians and artists wanting to show their talent at the 35th annual festival in 2027.

“I think it speaks to our love for the music that we have artists going out of their way to express gratitude about their experience,” Kevin Tobin, festival artistic director. “We do aim to host a festival that’s world-class yet small-town in how warmly you’re welcomed.”

The three-day music festival will take place on July 23 to July 25, 2027 and will feature bands and musicians from all over the world.

Nearly 30,000 fans attended the event last year to listen to roots, blues, folk, rock, funk, soul, R&B, jazz and hip hop.

Artists also have the opportunity to perform multiple times throughout the festival, as well as take the stage in Downtown Salmon Arm for the pre party performance

“If you’re a musician with a powerful live presence, and your work is resonating with audiences, that’s who we want to hear from,” Tobin said.
