Speed Test Tuesday for Shuswap residents

The Shuswap Economic Development Society (SEDS) is conducting a study of Internet infrastructure throughout the Shuswap region to better understand the level of connectivity available within the community.

The SEDS is using a monitoring tool called the Internet Performance Test (IPT) which  provides date on internet performance and helps identify areas where service levels may not meet standards considered necessary for business, residents and families.

SEDS said participation is completely voluntary. Users may run the test, which measures more than 100 aspects of network performance. Residents will be able see the results of the test.

The test is anonymous and does not collect or record personal names or identifying information.
