Work continues on the 30 Street and 11 Avenue NE Roundabout project

The City of Salmon Arm said progress is being made on the 30 Street NE and 11 Avenue NE roundabout project, with the first phase of construction now substantially complete.

Crews are preparing to move into the next phase of work. In a community update provided by the city, officials said construction will shift its focus to the northwest corner of the intersection, including roadway widening and utility improvements.

Officials said traffic will continue to be maintained through the area, with only brief disruptions as required. Pedestrians will be temporarily routed to the east side of 30 Street NE.

Once this stage is complete, the project will improve traffic flow through the intersection and provide safer pedestrian and active transportation crossings in all directions.

The city is reminding residents that local businesses throughout the construction area remain open.
