Hidden Hill Rally raises nearly $3000 at Toy Run

Organizers of the Hidden Hill Rally Toy Run are celebrating a strong turnout after about 80 motorcycles took part in the inaugural event supporting Second Harvest-Shuswap.

The event raised $2,050 through registration and cash donations, along with another $780 at a barbecue, bringing the monetary total to $2,830. Organizers also collected toys for donation.

Riders gathered at the Riverfront Pub and Grill in Grindrod before setting out on the Sept. 26 toy run.

Hidden Hill Rally organizers thanked the Jeff Mounce Memorial Foundation crew on social media, saying they did a “wicked job” and kept the “good vibes” rolling.

“To Askew’s Foods Downtown, Save-On-Foods, Grillers Meats Salmon Arm, Brad’s No Frills and Shoppers Drug Mart, Hideaway Liquor Store for generously sponsoring the food,” read the post. “Dealr Cannabis did amazing with a basket of stuff for the rider draws.”

“Thanks to the collection locations White Post Auto Museum, Hideaway Public House, Save-On-Foods, Riverfront Pub & Grill, Chris Wilson Automotive and everyone who donated toys at these businesses.”

Organizers also said some riders went down during the run but were expected to be OK.
