Two people arrested for break-in at commercial building

Two people were arrested after they were found inside a commercial building along Hudson Ave. in Salmon Arm at midnight on Jan. 7.

Salmon Arm RCMP observed a rear door to a commercial building that was opened ajar while they were patrolling the area.

“Police entered the building and located a known 43-year-old male and 31-year-old female inside,” Cst. Andrew Hodges, spokesperson for the Salmon Arm RCMP.

Hodges added that there was damage to the door and the interior had garbage strewn all over.

The man and woman were arrested for “break and enter” and were transported to cells.

“The pair were later released with a future court date and conditions to speak to the allegation,” Hodges added.

A property representative was notified of the incident.
