Natalie Wilkie earns another medal for Team Canada

Natalie Wilkie’s success did not stop with her gold and silver medals over the weekend. The Para nordic skier won bronze in the women’s sprint standing event Tuesday at the 2026 Paralympic Winter Games in Italy.

“I’m pretty happy,” Wilkie told the Canada Paralympic Committee after her heat. “I did kind of want the gold, but this is the bronze and it completes my set of gold, silver, bronze. This is a significant medal because it’s my tenth Paralympic medal, so I am actually really happy about that.”

Wilkie posted the fastest time in the semifinals at three minutes 31.4 seconds and finished third in the final in 3:40.2, behind the United States’ Sydney Peterson and Norway’s Vilde Nilsen.

Wilkie now has one medal of each colour at these Games and 10 career Paralympic medals across three Paralympics.

Team Canada now has eight medals at the Milano Cortina 2026 Paralympic Winter Games.
