Scotch Creek Fire Hall approaching completion

Construction of the Scotch Creek/Lee Creek fire hall is progressing and remains on track for completion by August 2026.

The Columbia Shuswap Regional District (CSRD) provided an update, saying construction is running smoothly.

The CSRD said the modern building will include “all the essentials,” including space for fire trucks, gear storage and a versatile training room that can host community events. The fire hall will be located at 1435 Beatty Rd. in Scotch Creek.

The previous fire hall was destroyed in the Bush Creek East wildfire that swept through the area in 2023. It was located at 3852 Squilax-Anglemont Rd. Fire crews have been renting warehouse space in the interim.

“We’re looking forward to the completion of the hall which is expected in August 2026,” the CSRD said.
