Salmon Arm man charged with arson after bank damaged in fire

A 40-year-old Salmon Arm man has been charged with arson after a fire damaged a bank in November 2025.

Police said officers found a burning bench at 300 Hudson Ave. NE early on Nov. 21.

The flames spread to the exterior of a nearby bank, causing extensive damage.

No one was injured, police said.

Police asked anyone who witnessed suspicious activity to contact their local police detachment.
