Shuswap housing family homes benchmark price sees decrease

Benchmark prices for single-family homes across the Okanagan, Shuswap and Revelstoke saw decreases across all sub-regions in October compared to the same month last year, according to the Association of Interior Realtors.

The Association of Interior Realtors released its latest report on October statistics within the housing market.

The townhome housing category saw percentage increases in all sub-regions compared to October 2025, with the exception of the South Okanagan, which saw a decrease of 2.4 per cent, coming in at $484,000.

“While no real estate market is immune to the natural ebbs and flows of economic conditions, the Interior continues to demonstrate a level of stability that is encouraging when compared to some other markets across the province,” Association of Interior REALTORS President Ryan Mayne said.

“We’re certainly not back to normalized activity levels, and things are moving more slowly than they were earlier in the year, but given the broader economic challenges, the market is holding a fairly steady course.”

The benchmark price in the condominium housing category saw decreases in all sub-regions except for Shuswap and the Revelstoke region that saw an increase of 0.2 per cent compared to the same month last year, coming in at $407,000.

Residential real estate across the Interior recorded 1,079 residential sales in October, down from 1,141 units sold in September and down 15.2 per cent compared to the same time last year.
