The City of Salmon Arm has set a start date for its spring street sweeping, which was postponed last week.
Beginning Monday, March 23, AIM Roads will start operations on Highway 1 from the intersection with Highway 97B to 30th Street SW, and on Highway 97B from the intersection with Highway 1 to 10th Avenue NE.
The city coordinated with AIM Roads to schedule the sweeping during spring break to help reduce traffic impacts. Work will take place Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. until April 2.
The goal is to complete the sweeping in one week, though weather and unexpected conditions may extend the program.
Drivers can expect a moving work zone, lane closures and minor delays. The city urged drivers to obey all traffic control and signage.
